Hello, I gave the current BOINC developer version a shot.

The boinc-manager works, the client does not start, though.
I might want to wait for a newer version to investigate that
further as that upstream version does not compile without
some local patches (all in debian/patches). There is no time
for deeper investigations from my side these days.

We had our Google Code-In student Chalet16 looking over the
state of the Server package in 6.10.58 and describing it
on our Wiki page. See

and maybe we find someone to chime in.

Chalet16 pointed out that the symlinks make problems for the
server to become functional. This needs some further work,
and if or if not a server package makes complete sense is
still not clear.
