6.12.8 now works for me. A re-(compile,install,boot) have fixed it :)
Concerning the git instructions I agree but I also need to mention
that our current instructions on how to use git are not bad already.
But the mess with git-buildpackage, dpkg-buildpackage, quilt,
./debian/rules binary and source format 3.0 I presume to prevail
for some time. What I shall add eventually is the
"git diff | patch -p1 -R" trick.
