Bug#648968: boinc-manager: loses menu in gnome 3

Dear Maintainer,

today I tried boincmgr the first time after the upgrade to GNOME
3. The program is no longer usable, because the main menu bar
(usually with entries like File, Edit, View) is no longer shown.
All I see in the top row is a lonely "D" for "Datei", the german
localization of "File".

I tried to reach the same functionality via the program icon on
the gnome shell menu bar, as I had seen in some Gnome 3 mockups,
but that offers only an option to put the window in the background
(called "Boincmgr beenden", i.e. "end Boincmgr", but doesn't work
that way).

When started from the shell, boincmgr reports: Gtk-Message: Failed
to load module "pk-gtk-module"

I installed packagekit-gtk3-module and packagekit-dbg, but that
didn't help.
