Steffen and I had discussed this with SETI at Home upstream, then forwarded
to boinc_dev[1]. We only observed this bug with boinc 7.0.28, not in
earlier versions, so we guess the bug is in boinc.
(7.0.28 has not yet entered Ubuntu archive, as a search on
packages.ubuntu.com turns out.)

I think these two will be fixed by recompiling boinc-app-seti against
newer boinc-dev (>=7).
