I don't see the menu bar in BOINC Manager but I do see one in Audacious,
so bug #996407 is obviously not a duplicate.

My config:
Kubuntu 12.04 LTS x86_64 with latest updates

stephane at nausicaa:~$ dpkg -l | grep boinc
