Adding to the list of "affected", this exists on BOINC Manager 7.0.25
(x86) using xWidgets 2.8.11.  Environment is Linux Mint 13 (amd64),
Cinnamon 1.4 desktop.

Resizing the window alleviates the symptom for me in the same way it has
for the prior posters, I found this thread while researching the bug....
