I added myself as uploader, I leave setting DMUA to Sean.

I am now working on spine 0.8.8. I had to fix several issues that I
believe are in the current package as well. One of the things is that I
copied the code from a call by dh_ucf to the postrm, mainly:
  ucfr --purge cacti-spine /etc/cacti/spine.conf
but also removal of other ucf files.

Further, the contents of the current cacti-spine package in sid are a
little strange. It contains the binary twice and a spurious "/ect/
/spine.conf.dist". I have fixed both issue by using proper configure
parameters, skipping patch 03_xxx by that way (it had the wrong path).

I have to do some clean-up in my work, I will push tomorrow, going to
bed now.
