* h01ger doesnt think important is right for #655835 (rather serious) but wont
fight for it yet
<daemonkeeper> h01ger: policy §9.3.2 suggests invoke-rc.d by "should", thus
policy does not mandate a RC bug.
<h01ger> daemonkeeper, 9.3.2 says "The init.d scripts must ensure that they
will behave sensibly"
<h01ger> i dont consider randomly running things when being told not to, for
sensible
<h01ger> daemonkeeper, and thats a _must_ </emphasis>
<daemonkeeper> h01ger: Well, but 9.3.2 targets the init script itself. Reading
the bug (not the source) it looks like the maintainer is doing weird things in
postinst and _then_ uses invoke-rcd.
<daemonkeeper> h01ger: That would be RC again though, because idempotency is
apparently not guaranteed
<h01ger> daemonkeeper, so 9.3.2 is more general and thus also applicable
<h01ger> daemonkeeper, adding this to the bug, ok?
<daemonkeeper> h01ger: Feel free, but note the policy handles maintainer
scripts in §10.4 (which references §9.3.2 again)
