Hy everybody...

Do Feb 28 2008 10:32:50 CET von Michael Meskes an pkg-citadel-devel@lists.alioth.debian.org
Betreff: [Pkg-citadel-devel] New mailing list/packaging

[With this list being archived, let's use English here, although atm all
subscribers are German. :-) ]
I'd like to change this.. (so english will be more apropriate ;-) I'd like to subscribe a room over at Uncensored.citadel.org to this mailinglist, so the other citadel devs (yes, theres one just writing this mail) can follow our diskussions easily too, and raise their voice on problems which concern citadel in global (like the openssl licensing problem you've pointed out). Is this OK to the rest of you?

Hi,

this is a test of the new mailing list:
pkg-citadel-devel@lists.alioth.debian.org

I'd like to make sure that citadel makes it into the archive rather
sooner than later. Which points are still open? I see that lintian has
some complaints, but are there other open topics? And another question,
Wilfried, I saw some changelog entries suggesting that they also contain
fixes to the citadel code itself. If these changes were made directly
in the source code, they have NOT made it to the svn archive that only
contains the debian/ dirs. If we need some additional changes could you
provide patches?

These changes were made in relation to the debs, but in the upper directories (here, the alias migration shellscript was deffective...) and i've documented them in the changelog as they were a delta to the tagged release. The Citadel subversion caries a script which chops the directory into handy pieces for the release, and produces the tgz, and the other parts. So, No, if you use the tgz on debian.citadel.org you don't need patches.

Wilfried Goesgens
