hi,

I followed the discussion about how to handle the work with VCS and
ClamAV. I think we should set a structure in the discussion. That why I
opened a new Thread.
Well, we have to find out which software method we want to use, but we
can't make this decision before we all clear about the things, we want
to handle the repository.

So, as the TO I'll make an suggestion:
Important is, that we find a balance between maintainence and time.

My opinion about the folder structure in the repo is, that we have 4
branches with the same structure:

stable, freeze, unstable, volatile. I think, this explains himself.

Folders:
Upstream (original sources with version number in folder)
Patches (maybe debian patches)
Package (the uncompressed package with files like control, rules,
postinst, etc.)
in the root of the branch the complete package with orig.tar.gz, etc.

I hope, I have nothing forgotten.

And ... I would like to use git, because I don't have any experience
with git and would enjoy to gather some.

So ...

Greetings,
Björn
