[Pkg-clamav-devel] Bug#579960: clamav-daemon: ClamAV daemon fails to start on 32 bit PowerPC

Hi,

I just upgraded to ClamAV 0.96 and got the following error:

Starting ClamAV daemon: clamd clamd: llvm/lib/Target/PowerPC/PPCJITInfo.cpp:399: virtual void llvm::PPCJITInfo::relocate(void*, 
llvm::MachineRelocation*, unsigned int, unsigned char*): Assertion `ResultPtr >= -(1 << 23) && ResultPtr < (1 << 23) && "Relocation out of range!"' 
failed.
/etc/init.d/clamav-daemon: line 302: 21349 Aborted                 start-stop-daemon --start -o -c $User --exec $DAEMON

This appears to be due to https://wwws.clamav.net/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1921
It's mentioned in the "Known Issues" section of http://wiki.clamav.net/bin/view/Main/UpgradeNotes096 along with a workaround patch. Please can this 
be added into the Debian PowerPC packages?
