It should be relatively simple with just multiple tarballs, see [1].
As even dpkg in Debian 5.0.4 (lenny) supports this, I don't think this 
will complicate matters for older distros, that are still supported.

You would need to move libmspack to the top-level of the source 
directory, though.

Please also update debian/copyright for the embedded copy.
