The ABI breakage [1] isn't that problematic, because nothing in Debian
uses that function [2].

I tried building it and noticed that the orig tarball in the pristine-tar
branch lacks the +dfsg suffix. How did you create it?
The get_orig.sh adds the +dfsg suffix correctly.
