Packaging Clojure 1.9

Hello pkg-clojure-maintainers,

soon Clojure 1.9.0 will be released.

As I understand, for the first time two command-line utilities, ‘clj’
and ‘clojure’ will be released as an official part of Clojure. They live
at https://github.com/clojure/brew-install.

I would like to make the suggestion that these utilities are adopted in
the Debian ‘clojure’ package. Then we’ll have an official-sounding
package that provides the official command-line utilities.

What are your thoughts on this? Are there already plans about 1.9?

I haven’t packaged for Debian before but would volunteer.
