1.6 and 1.7 should work fine even simultaneously. 1.7 has new  
~/.bibletime config directory while 1.6 uses the kde defaults, they  
don't know about each other. But if they are installed together the  
binaries should be named differently, e.g. bibletime16 and  
bibletime17. I haven't tested this but I suppose so. I have 1.7 in a  
development directory and every time I leave the app open, close the  
kde session and open it again, bibletime crashes in startup. I guess  
it's because kde tries to start "bibletime" and it opens  
/usr/bin/bibletime" instead of  
"[something]/build/install/bin/bibletime". Different binary names  
would probably fix that.
