I was going to bring that (and BibleDesktop too) up once we had got a
bit further ;) But no problem starting it now if someone wants to
help. :)

There are existing packages to start from of bibledit 3.4 (I think the
current version is 3.5) on
deb-src http://packages.sil.org/ubuntu hardy main

I can't remember offhand who has been updating those packages but I'll check
