I'm not a DD, but I am a Debian Maintainer for what it's worth.

Sorry I haven't had time to reply earlier, I've been busy trying to
get my dissertation finished and some teaching things ready for the
semester.
I'm certainly open to help where I can and when I have time. I'd love
to have lots of time but that's probably not going to happen in the
near future. Certainly with respect to Ubuntu I'm open to helping
sponsor work. Since I'm a Core Developer, like Raphael, I have access
to the entire archive if needed.
I've applied to join the alioth project and subscribed to the mailing
list. I see you guys have already been quite busy, awesome! Are there
any immediate things in Ubuntu that needs a MOTUs touch?
