Roberto,

I think this has been fixed in latest gnomesword (which is now
Xiphos). We would really, really like to get this into the debian and
ubuntu repositories, so none of us have to spend time researching
already fixed bugs.

I tested the references mentioned and they are all correct now (except
for the module encoding problem).
