Great!
Initial Ubuntu packages for Lucid, Maverick (and Natty, but as of right
now the Natty build is failing, looks like something related to a new QT
or qtwebkit version breaking the CMake script?? I will investigate this
later!) have been created and uploaded to the developer-testing PPA. I
hope to put them into the main pkgcrosswire PPA in a few days.
Anyone able to test these packages on Ubuntu, please do so :)
So... how do we get this software (and SWORD 1.6.2) into Debian and
Natty sanely, with the Debian Squeeze freeze still in place?
I think we probably need to:
(1) Get SWORD 1.6.2 into Debian experimental (or unstable??)
(2) Get BibleTime 2.8.0 and Xiphos 3.1.4 into Debian experimental
(or unstable??)
(3) Sync all of those into Ubuntu Natty if permissible, otherwise get
our packages into Natty some other way?
Is this the "correct" way to go? Is there a better way? Can we
actually get things into Debian unstable at this point, or not?
I'm about to update my Debian VM and try building SWORD 1.6.2 and
BibleTime 2.8.0 there...
