[Pkg-crosswire-devel] Bug#663096: xiphos: Xiphos segfaults against libsword-8 1.6.2

Package: xiphos
Version: 3.1.4-3
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

Xiphos fails to start and exits with a segfault after upgrading
libsword8 to 1.6.2+dfsg-1. This makes xiphos unusable on systems where
this upgrade has occurred. I resolved this segfault by rebuilding
xiphos against libsword8 1.6.2+dfsg-1. After rebuilding xiphos with the
newer libsword it works as expected. The solution appears to initiate a
build against libsword8 1.6.2+dfsf-1. As there appears to be a binary
incompatibility between the two libsword8s, perhaps the dependencies
should be clarified. This bug also effects ubuntu, see:

Thank you.
