Hi Dominique,
Thanks for helping out with the sword package.
On the changelog, you increment the Debian version number (or the
upstream version number for a new upstream release) and create a
changelog entry for everything that has changed between the two version.
If you look at some Daniel's or Dmitrijs' old changelog entries, I think
that you will find some excellent examples of changelog entries.
I also looked at your git commit messages and they are brief, so you
might find that the git-dch utility (from git-buildpackage) gives you a
trivially easy way to generate a suitable changelog entry.
Feel free to prepare a changelog entry and I will be happy to review it
and make any necessary suggestions.
I briefly looked over the lintian output and it looks like the package
needs a small amount of cleanup. I will take a closer look in the
coming days. Would you prefer that I just go ahead and make any changes
needed to appease lintian, or would you prefer that I explain a solution
in general terms and leave it for you to solve? I am happy to do
either.
Also, will you need for me to review your work and sponsor and upload of
the package when you are done with your work?
Regards,
-Roberto
