One thing to note is that it would be good to CC the mailing list for
team-related bugs that are filed against other packages or even our own
packages.  If you use reportbug to file the report it will ask you near
the end for additional address where it should a CC.

If you are not using reportbug, than you can add a pseudo-header like
this at the top of the message:

X-Debbugs-CC: pkg-crosswire-devel at alioth-lists.debian.net

That will ensure that the mailing list receives the correspondence on
that bug, including closure notices.
