please have a look at the latest trunk in the svn repository. i've added
your scripts and debian/rules installs them in the correct places. i've
also added a start of a debian/README.initramfs file, which is currently
only a copy+paste of your initial bugreport.

it would be great if you could comment on this, improve documentation,
check whether i install the script/hook files with the correct
permissions etc.
