Package: cryptsetup
Version: 2:1.0.6~pre1+svn45-1
Severity: normal
Hi,
using kernel 2.6.25-rc2-amd64 from Debian-Kernel, I can't boot on my system because it is
not possible to open my LUKS root (/).
The encountered error is the following (boot option quiet):
-------- Boot Log transcription --------
Enter LUKS passphrase:
device-mapper: table: 254:0: crypt: Error allocating crypto tfm
Command failed: No key available with this passphrase.
cryptsetup: cryptsetup failed, bad password or options?
Enter LUKS passphrase:
-------- END --------------------------
I tried with those differents /etc/crypttab :
1.
sda5_crypt /dev/sda5 none luks
2.
sda5_crypt /dev/sda5 none luks,hash=sha256
3.
sda5_crypt /dev/sda5 none luks,cipher=aes-cbc-essiv:sha256
But no success. This is critical if you use cryptsetup and 2.6.25-rc2 (for the moment),
because you cannot boot.
Regards,
Didier, aka OdyX
