hey David,

I hope you're fine ;-)

I'm just going through the bugreports against cryptsetup. There a some
bugreports regarding initramfs issues, and I guess that you've better
knowledge of these issues. It would be great if you could go through the
buglist below and see whether (and how) we can fix them.

#455508: cryptsetup: should add blowfish, serpent and twofish to initrd

Seems like blowfish should be added to some MODULES=most schema
	for initramfs.

#382375: passphrase prompt gets drowned during initramfs

I would suggest to either close this bugreport or reassign it to
some other package, maybe debian-installer. But I'm not sure.

#445191: cryptsetup: Please stop usplash if running

I'm not sure what to do here. I don't know anything about
	usplash.

#406317: cryptsetup and initramfs should use same default hash function

You promised to change the default for initramfs post-etch, but
nothing did happen yet. I suggest to change it as soon as
possible, so that things can settle down until lenny is released.

and then there are some bugs which are not directly related to
initramfs, but still I would be interested in your opinion ;-)

#406697 - Device nodes are not removed on reboot/shutdown

I guess that this one might have already been fixed with the
invokation of udevsettle. In any case, it looks like a bug which
needs to be fixed in "the kernel, udev and libdevmapper". So
	reassign or close?

#419571: cryptsetup may need to activate more than 1 crpyt partition

Again we promised to suppport this for lenny. I'm not sure what
the bug is here. If I got the submitter right, he claims that
cryptdisks-early is limited to setup one device, which is wrong
in my eyes. So maybe we should close this bugreport?

#430158: uswsusp and cryptoswap

I'm not sure that I even understand the issue here. The
submitter didn't respond to my last mail.

greetings,
 jonas
