Good, then allow the "Waiting for root file system..." prompt to timeout
(takes about 3 minutes, can be lowered by setting
rootwait=<number_of_seconds>), then run "cat /proc/modules" to see which
modules are loaded (dm-crypt should be in that list).

Also, check under /lib/modules/... that the dm-crypt.ko module is available.

Finally, also check that you have some crypto settings in
/conf/conf.d/cryptroot.
