AFAIK only by not using LUKS and using standard dmcrypt instead.

Different partition sizes, settings, etc. Perhaps SMP is disabled on
one (I don't you know - you did not tell me).
My crystal orb is getting gray again....
also you would need to unlock the very same fs with both machines,
not two different fs with two different machines.
