[pkg-cryptsetup-devel] Bug#573103: cryptsetup: NEWS file is not understandable

Julien Cristau jcristau at debian.org
Mon Mar 8 22:51:26 UTC 2010

Package: cryptsetup
Version: 2:1.1.0-1
Severity: normal

When upgrading apt-listchanges shows me the new cryptsetup NEWS file,
and I don't understand what it says. Encryption was setup for me by
d-i, I have no idea what the various parameters are and if I'm affected
by whatever the NEWS file is trying to say.

So I believe that:
- if previous configuration needs changes, these changes should happen
  automatically on upgrade
- the NEWS file should be rewritten so it can be understood by people
  unfamiliar with cryptsetup and LUKS.

Cheers,
Julien
