Package: cryptsetup
Version: 2:1.3.0-3
Followup-For: Bug #438481

Hi,

as for a scenario, where a fallback would make sense. I just installed a
machine with a key on a USB stick and a passphrase. My crypttab is:

# <target name> <source device> <key file> <options>
md1_crypt /dev/md1 /dev/disk/by-uuid/3C94-BF00:/entry:10 luks,hash=plain,keyscript=/lib/cryptsetup/scripts/passdev
md1_crypt /dev/md1 none luks,tries=0
[...SNAP SWAP devices...]

Now in case when the USB stick would fail or is just not plugged in I'd like to
enter with the passphrase. Currently the system just enters in the initramfs
shell and I can call luksOpen from there. However this isn't really satisfying.

Best regards,

Thomas Koch
