[pkg-cryptsetup-devel] cryptsetup on two consoles (real+serial)

Hello. I'm not exactly sure is it a bug or feature request and to whom may I address this, but maybe someone can get me the right direction.

I use number of Debian setups with encrypted root for some years without any major problems. Now I need to add serial console to one system, for unlocking it from another host remotely. I added kernel options 'console=tty0 console=ttyS0,115200' -- and it works.

The problem is, there is no cryptsetup passphrase prompt on serial console, only usual kernel log. On the real console, there are also log, and promt for passphrase, perfectly working.

I reverse the kernel parameters order ('console=ttyS0,115200 console=tty0') -- and got reverse situation -- passphrase asked on serial port; only kernel log on machine' display.

It's not deadly blocking. Living serial console on the first place for remote unlocking, I always have GRUB options editor, if i need to unlock this host from real keyboard. But it's just inconvinient.

Is it possible to run askpass on all consoles?
