[pkg-cryptsetup-devel] cryptsetup lost module after Debian updates

No output available, obviously, because encrypted volume cannot be
unlocked. Next boot-up after Debian package manager installed security
updates, after BIOS passes to GRUB, at:

options gives:

Gave up waiting for root device.  Common problems:
 - Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)
   - Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
   - Check root= (did the system wait for the right device?)
 - Missing modules (cat /proc/modules; ls /dev)
ALERT!   /dev/mapper/c50--26-79-68-root does not exist. Dropping to a shell!
