On a point of order, regardless of which codebase we end up using I
think we should merge #903163 into this bug (or otherwise close it) and
further rename #888916 to "Please support using OpenPGP cards to unlock
encrypted roots" or similar.

That way we don't risk splitting the conversation any further and risk
confusing anyone joining the conversation later on... including
myself!

Anyway, just a quick note to say thank you for your work on this.
