Package: cryptsetup-run
Version: 2:2.0.3-1
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
I had upgraded the cryptsetup* packages from 2.0.2* to 2.0.3-1 and forgot
cryptsetup-bin, which did work.
Then the next apt upgrade tried to upgrade cryptsetup* to 2.0.3-2 while still
leaving crypsetup-bin in version 2.0.2 and this broke the installation of
cryptsetup-run:
Unpacking cryptsetup-run (2:2.0.3-2) over (2:2.0.3-1) ...
dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/cryptsetup-
run_2%3a2.0.3-2_amd64.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/sbin/luksformat', which is also in package
cryptsetup-bin 2:2.0.2-1
dpkg-deb: error: paste subprocess was killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/cryptsetup-run_2%3a2.0.3-2_amd64.deb
Running the following got me out of this:
# apt --fix-broken install cryptsetup-bin/unstable libcryptsetup12/unstable
cryptsetup-run/unstable
Adding a break/replace cryptsetup-bin < 2.0.3 (-2 ?) would probably help
avoiding this.
Cheers,
