FWIW the cryptsetup-initramfs stuff has gotten easier between the
Stretch and Buster releases. No need to set CRYPTSETUP=Y in particular,
installing cryptsetup-initramfs will do. See the NEWS notes, and also
/usr/share/doc/cryptsetup-initramfs/README.initramfs.gz as well as
/usr/share/doc/cryptsetup/README.Debian.gz § 8.
