[pkg-cryptsetup-devel] cryptsetup failed with code 22 invalid argument

I figured it out, sorry for the confusion.

this works as expected
sudo cryptsetup open --type luks /dev/test/data test-data --key-file
/root/luks.key
sudo cryptsetup open --type luks /dev/mapper/test-data test2 --key-file
/root/luks.key

I was doing
sudo cryptsetup open --type luks */dev/test/data test-data* --key-file
/root/luks.key
