Package: sasl2-bin
Version: 2.1.22.dfsg1-1
Severity: normal
saslauthd is searching for saslauthd.conf in /usr/etc/ instead of /etc/.
This affects LDAP authentication using saslauthd, but probably not other
uses. This was functioning properly in sasl2-bin_2.1.19.dfsg1-0.5_i386.deb.
/etc/default/saslauthd configuration:
START=yes
MECHANISMS="ldap"
MECH_OPTIONS=""
THREADS=5
OPTIONS="-c"
Testing was done using and running saslauthd in debug mode:
flux:~# testsaslauthd -u test -r test.com -p test
and the response was:
0: NO "authentication failed"
This error message in /var/log/auth.log appears:
Nov 11 17:43:50 flux saslauthd[15677]: Could not open saslauthd config file: /usr/etc/saslauthd.conf (No such file or directory)
