The following modifications give me a functioning heimdal module 
(inside of libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit), which I'm using 
successfully so far on a test server:

Modified debian/control
   Replaced build-depends on libkrb5-dev with heimdal-dev
   Removed dependency on libpq-dev

Modified debian/rules
   Removed configure option --with-pgsql=/usr/include/postgresql
