I get this message on the receiving server side (smtpd -v) when saying AUTH
PLAIN [snip] on the smtp client:

Whyn I debug the receiving server ("saslauthd -d"), I see that postfix does 
not talk to saslauthd at all. Authentication works:

testsaslauthd -u $USER -p $PASS -f /var/spool/postfix/private/saslauthd/mux 
-r "" -s ""

says

0: OK "Success."
