Source: deepin-boot-maker
Version: 5.10.0+dfsg2-1
Followup-For: Bug #1063557
Control: severity -1 important

Dear Maintainer,

I emphasize the necessity of updating your package to eliminate the dependency
on the p7zip/p7zip-full/p7zip-rar packages, which are now transitional packages
in debian trixie. Debian project aims to minimize the use of transitional
packages and actively encourages the proactive removal of dependencies on them.

Furthermore, it is important to note that the p7zip packages were based on a
codebase from the year 2016, with no updates upstream since. On the other hand,
the 7zip packages are built on a more recent and actively maintained codebase,
both within debian and upstream. Given the significant changes that may have
occurred over the past 9 years, it is crucial to verify that your package still
functions as intended with 7zip as a dependency instead of p7zip.

We are approaching the various freeze stages of debian trixie, I am increasing
the severity of this issue as previously announced, to reflect its urgency.
Please take the necessary steps to update your package accordingly.

Thank you for your continued efforts in maintaining software in debian.
