Hello+ACE
We are currently packaging embryo (a fork of SMALL/PAWN used by the
Enlighenment Desktop) for Debian and the archive maintainers have
noticed a small problem with the license statement of your contribution
to SMALL.
According to http://www.compuphase.com/pawn/pawn.htm:
+ACI-Get a floating point extension module written by Greg Garner from Real
Time Engineering (1999-12-15)
The +ACI-pawn toolkit+ACI (see above) now also contains an expanded version of
this floating point module.+ACI
The license statement in Float.cpp is:
/+ACo Float arithmetic for the Small AMX engine
+ACo
+ACo Copyright (c) Artran, Inc. 1999
+ACo Written by Greg Garner (gmg+AEA-artran.com)
+ACo This file may be freely used. No warranties of any kind.
+ACo
+ACo-/
When interpreting this license strictly, only +ACo-use+ACo is allowed. Because
the default state in copyright law is forbidden, this file can't be
distributed, copied or modified.
If this is simply a misunderstanding, we would appreciate it very much
if you could clarify your license statement.
The easiest way to do this is to place your contribution under the
license used by SMALL/PAWN (the zLib license,
http://www.opensource.org/licenses/zlib-license.php)
Regards,
Jan L+APw-bbe
