Well, I find it easier to have some SCM when there is more than one working on 
a package. Changes that are not uploaded for some reason tend to get lost 
when coworking. However I agree there is no big need for this and if the 
simplest type of SCM (subversion for example) can be copied from collab-maint 
I would be happy.
