The problem is that you have geda-symbols 1.4.0, but the rest of gEDA is
1.2.1 in testing still. This is a bug in the package dependencies.

If you install geda-symbols 1.2.1, from
http://snapshot.debian.net/archive/2008/01/03/debian/pool/main/g/geda-symbols/geda-symbols_1.2.1-1_all.deb
then all should be well.
