Hello,
My name is Scott Howard, I'm a DM and maintainer of the eagle non-free
PCB editor package in Debian. I'd like join the team, and requested
joining on alioth.

Also, I am looking for a sponsor for my package "arduino". I'm still
testing it (no problems yet), but would like someone reviewed it for
sponsorship. This is actually pretty simple to package. Many have
tried [1,2], but no one has put a complete effort in so far. I
combined some work and simplified everything for a really clean build.

Description :The Arduino libraries and the development environment
Arduino is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible,
easy-to-use hardware and software. It's intended for artists, designers,
hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or
 environments.
 .
Arduino can sense the environment by receiving input from a variety of sensors
and can affect its surroundings by controlling lights, motors, and other
actuators. The microcontroller on the board is programmed using the Arduino
programming language (based on Wiring) and the Arduino development environment
(based on Processing). Arduino projects can be stand-alone or they can
communicate with software on running on a computer
 (e.g. Flash, Processing, MaxMSP).

It builds these binary packages:
arduino - The Arduino libraries and the development environment

The package appears to be lintian clean.

The upload would fix these bugs: 577249

My motivation for maintaining this package is: interest in open source
hardware and tools that can help people get started with embedded
electronics.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/a/arduino
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable
main contrib non-free
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/a/arduino/arduino_0018+dfsg-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Kind regards
 Scott Howard
