As a second thought.. perhaps it would be wise (with my Ubuntu Lucid
agenda) for this to be held off until after I get a yes / no on a
Feature freeze exception for the 2.4.0-1 package.

Unfortunately, the 2.3.0-1 package also has the errant "Education"
category re-added to it by a patch, and it might be awkward to justify
the change in case it introduces regressions where people don't have
extra-xdg-menus installed.

FWIW, and for reference.. I've had the "lintian complains about no main
category" conversation with other pkg-electronics-devel people in the
past, and the conclusion (which admittedly I pushed), was that it is a
warning which is safe to ignore if the package has an "Electronics"
category, and "extra-xdg-menus" is a dependency, or "Recommends:" for
package.

Oh - and something I completely forgot before, which was rude of me..
thank you for making the effort to get the new version packaged up!

Best wishes,
