[Pkg-electronics-devel] RFS: UPDATE: geda-gaf 1.8.0-1

Hi.

Is there some reason geda-gaf 1.8.0-1 has never been uploaded since the
sponsoring request back in November?  I don't normally read
pkg-electronics-devel (perhaps I should), but don't see any follow-up
discussion in the list archives.

I've been getting burned by gsch2pcb not understanding unit suffixes in
.pcb files ever since I had to move to a local build of fresher pcb to
gain access to bug fixes in DRC... the version of pcb in Debian is
horribly out of date!  Researching the situation, I found the fix I needed
in the geda-gaf 1.8 series, and just successfully built 1.8.1 locally by
starting with the Debian packaging repo, importing 1.8.1 from upstream,
and doing the minimal tweaks one would expect. 

If this is just lacking attention, I'll be happy to push my work and
upload 1:1.8.1-1.

I depend daily on geda-gaf and pcb.  I don't really need more work, but
am happy to help keep them up to date in sid if they just need more
attention and something else I don't understand isn't blocking progress?
