Another alternative is to just take Joris' package as-is, and start using 
that as the new baseline for future packaging development. This is a big 
change, and discards a lot of benefits of developing under careful topic-
branches with git, but since I don't currently have a lot of time to devote 
to GHDL, I'm certainly not going to stand in the way of folks who *do*. =)
