[Pkg-electronics-devel] Upstream tarball tar.gz vs tar.xz

Hi all,

I am one of the upstream maintainer of gnusim8085. We have recently
switched to meson build system and meson creates tar.xz by default.

Is there any policy on if the upstream tarballs need to be in tar.gz
or tar.xz? If they must be in tar.gz then I will have to figure out a
way to create dist in tar.gz using meson.
