[Pkg-electronics-devel] Debian Electronics Team on Salsa

Hi,

the request for joining the group 'Debian Electronics' on Salsa of
Andreas last night reminds my I need to write up some information about
the group I created about a week ago to the list ...

Related to the current ongoing preparations to get Kicad 5 packaged into
Debian I've created a group 'Debian Electronics' on Salsa to get not
only a future proof platform for co-maintaining the packaging work of
KiCad with Jean-Samuel Reynaud who is doing the daily builds of KiCad
for Ubuntu.
I already imported the kicad tree from Alioth into the Salsa platform.

So if anything isn't correct for anyone please raise your hands! It was
not my intent to force anything or to treat current members of the
electronic group on Alioth to something they are non agree with.

I gave Andreas grants [1] to the master role within the group which
means he can do quite the same as right now now in the Alioth group. I'm
quite lazy about permission for DDs and if we could have some conclusion
about the permissions for members of the group would be even better. I
think the -guest accounts can stay with developer permissions so far. We
need to update the wiki page at one day anyway.

Please talk about needs, complains or problems with the created group by
me, I'm not a GitLab expert so if something isn't correct please be
gentle to me. :)
I'm really happy if some more people would like to have owner rights in
the group.
