Sorry, meant to drop you a line. I wasn't intending to do a hostile
backport. The stack was surprisingly easy to backport, and I happily
uploaded and got distracted by something else.

This is to enable hdm2usb-mode-switch on stretch. (see #844748).
I'm at LCA where our infrastructure is running on stretch, and it sucks
to not have the hdmi2usb-mode-switch stack on the machines here.

Happy to maintain that in git.
