Something that was transmitted as answer to

seemed to be recieved very mangled.

Can I rephrase it?
An attempt follows, mindset is "I come in peace"

Hello OpenOCD maintainers,

Here a fellow Debian Developer, the maintainer of urjtag.
Infact the fresh maintainer of urjtag.

Packages OpenOCD and UrJTAG both use "JTAG adapters".

Those adapters need some permission setting.
Such setting can be done by udev rules.
OpenOCD already does that. UrJTAG doesn't.

By re-use of the udev rule file can bugs
like #851428 access permission on device
be fixed.

All that is needed is putting the udev rules in separate package.

I could do this by doing so and see who would complain,
but I prefer for discussion first. So I opened this bugreport.

First there was silence, now we are beyond that.
The actual working together has started.
There is this discussion.

Cheers
